CLOSING POEM

By Casey Ward

A man dressed in a Shakespearean king costume & barefoot looks seriously into the camera as he stands in front of a white prison wall next to a bounce card on a c-stand

In the end
Remember me if you will
When the breath of life leaves this vessel still.

When days of struggle
Yield to days of rest
And this body completes its living quest.

When all that’s left is just my memory
Perhaps you’ll see the man I tried to be.

And terry not upon the man who fell
But look into my heart where love did dwell.

It’s true
I’ve lived my life both right and wrong
And yes, I’ve wavered between weak and strong.

But in the end
I hope the sum you see
Will then reflect the better part of me.
